
Two men have been arrested by the police in Ibadan for allegedly killing their friend and dumping his remains in a river.
The deceased, identified as Emmanuel Oluwaseyi,36, also known as king of boys, lived at Ajadi area of Ologun-eru in Eleiyele, Ibadan, before his death.
Moruf Adetunji, 34, aka king of Arometa and Kehinde Akanni, 36, of Eleiyele area were arrested after a caller informed the police of a corpse floating on Eleiyele Dam. The caller told the police that he discovered the body on October 5 and that he suspected that it must have been dumped by Adetunji and Akanni, who were last seen with the deceased.
Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Police Command, Olabisi Ilobannafor, told our correspondent that Oluwaseyi must have died of complications resulting from an injury in his neck.
She said, “We received information about the discovery and quickly moved our men to the scene. The decomposing body of Oluwaseyi was floating on the dam when we got there. Information from the caller also revealed the possible hideout of the suspected killers. Our men combed the area and arrested two men in connection with the crime.”
